Royal TH-Series hydraulic cylinders are Linear Positioner cylinders providing a feedback electronic signal which offers complete control of cylinder position and speed. The design is based on our proven H-Series NFPA cylinders. Royal offers two designs for mounting a position sensor; the common external threaded housing design - T3H, and the internal plug design with remote electronics housing mounted directly to the cylinder - T4H. Non-contact position sensing transducers from manufacturers such as MTS Temposonic or Balluff are typically used. Sixteen mounting styles are available in standard tie-rod construction. Available bore sizes are from 1 1/2" to 6". 

Side Mount Electronics

T4 Series Positioners are designed to accept an Internal Sensor which has it's electronic enclosure mounted remotely - typically on either side of the blind end head. The standard position is at position 4 (see data sheet).

Rear Mount Electronics

The conventional T3 Series Positioners have the sensor electronics unit screwed onto the rear head along the cylinder axis. A probe cover is included to protect the sensor unit.
